They had me at the name Spike Jonze, which was at the end but that's not the point. Spike Jonze is a superb and versatile director, as well as a fellow skater. He directed two of my favorite skate videos: Yeah Right and Hot Chocolate. I had come to a conclusion long ago that the skateboarding scene plays a part in everything (even if just a little one) and is always there.

But anyways, the movie adaptation looks spot on, don't you think?
